Myford MG12-HPM cylindrical grinder, new in 1999. With possible exception of the later CNC models, the HPM was Myford's finest model, with the most features. Very late model, very low hours, original paint, mint condition...the best condition of the best model.
Automatic cycles for both traverse and plunge feed grinding. Depth and rate of wheel head infeed are independently variable on both continuous feed (plunge grinding) and intermittent infeed (traverse grinding). Also features spark out timer that operates on both cycles.
When operating on auto plunge a cursor on the large linear scale shows the rate of advance of the wheelhead. On the auto traverse cycle the same cursor shows the amount of infeed applied at each reversal of the table movement. This is shown in the video. Power required is 230 volts, 3 phase.
Accessories include collet nose with collets, lever type collet closer, wheel dresser, follow rest, dead center, wheel mount arbors, all manuals and electrical drawings, wheel balancer stand, two chuck adapters, one new never used 80mm Pratt Burnerd 3 jaw chuck.
The machine comes with the standard fixed workhead but I have an excellent condition swivel type workhead available for extra charge. Also have available a Myford ID attachment for a low price to whoever might purchase this machine. (call or email for prices)
